Dr Mahnaz Syed
Specialist Periodontist
Mahnaz commenced her specialist training at the Royal London Dental Hospital in 1998 and gained her specialist M.Clin.Dent with distinction in 2001, during her training she also received the Frank Ashley scholarship for advanced study in Periodontics. During her specialist training she completed her fellowship and membership qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons England.
Mahnaz has been in Perth Western Australia since 2007 where she practices as a specialist periodontist in Subiaco and is part time clinical implant tutor at the University of Western Australia. She is on the specialist list in Periodontics in the UK and Australia. Mahnaz is an ITI Member and a member of the American Academy for Implant Dentisty, as well as the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr Juney
Dentist with special interest in Periodontal Disease
Dr Juney Lonappan is our dentist, who has been with us since 2018. Juney initially was a hygienist with us and has successfully completed her transition to a dentist. Juney has a wealth of experience from all over the world and assists our periodontist in performing specialist periodontal treatment.
Brad Pears
Practice Manager
Brad is the Director of Elite Perio and has been with Elite Perio since it was formed back in 2009. Brad has a background in Medical Science and obtained Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Medicine from Curtin University in 2000. Brad first met Dr Mahnaz Syed whilst working in the London as a Medical Scientist at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London in 2006. Brad and Mahnaz moved back to Perth in 2007 and then opened Elite Perio in 2009. Brad and Mahnaz got married in Cottesloe 2011, Mahnaz and Brad had a daughter together in 2013. Since entering the business of dentistry Brad has completed a Diploma of Professional Practice Management from the University of New England in NSW. Brad manages and directs all aspect of the Elite Perio business and is committed to continually improving customer service. Away from work Brad loves to get out fishing and is kept busy with his daughter, enjoys traveling with Mahnaz back to Europe whenever possible. Brad also loves the AFL is a passionate Fremantle Dockers supporter.
Denise Forbes
Periodontal Hygienist
Denise brings a wealth of local and international experience to Elite Perio. Denise qualified top of her class, from Liverpool University School of Dental Hygiene (UK) in 1996.
She arrived in Perth in 2004 where she attended OHCWA to gain her registration as a Dental Hygienist in Australia.
She has worked in general practice in Perth until she joined the Elite Perio team in early 2024.
As a mother and grandmother she loves to spend her spare time with her family in the great outdoors.
Izabella
Periodontal Hygienist
Izabella is our specialist hygienist who has been with Elite Perio since 2012. Personally trained by Periodontist Dr Mahnaz Syed, Izabella is much loved by her patients. Izabella is actively gaining education in all aspects of hygiene and attends conferences all around the Australia and the world. Izabella is the mother or two children, keeps physically fit going to the gym and doing Tai Chi.
Debbie
Front Desk Coordinator
Debbie is another long term employee of Elite Perio. Debbie has been with Elite Perio since 2017. Debbie is our welcoming committee and you will probably either speak to Debbie on the phone or meet Debbie first when you come to us. Debbie is a cat lover and loves spending time with her cats. She also loves travelling, going out to restaurants and watching movies and spending time with her 2 children and her husband.
